SIX GUN SALLY

RELEASES LOUD AND PROUD ORIGINAL TUNE

"THE LAST TIME"

A Nod to Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers & Marshall Tucker Band

Bold Track Due June 24, 2022

NASHVILLE, Tenn. The raucous and rowdy indie southern rock band, Six Gun Sally, will release its 15th studio recording “The Last Time”* via all digital retail outlets and streaming platforms on Friday, August 12, 2022. The pre-save/presale event will be launching on Friday, July 29, 2022. (INSERT LINK) (Distribution by Ed Gertler/Digital Retail Services). The new release will follow the momentum of the band’s previous single, “Drunk Text”. With a nod to the group’s musical heroes (Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers and Marshall Tucker Band), the make-no-bones-about-it original reveals the band’s 70s rock musical style and boisterous character. The revving opener, whammy electric guitar runs and gritty vocals (led by Allen Granus) set the pace for bold, take-it-or-leave-it lyrics (spotlighting “Freebird” and “Home Sweet Home”), while playful piano licks lighten the vibe as facetious humor. The “Loud and Proud” track, written by band member Ford Thurston and drummer Dave Barbe was produced by Matt Muckle, along with Thurston and Barbe. The track was recorded at Hollywood Studios of Pittsburgh (engineered by Matt Vaughan) and features instrumental and vocal performances by all seven members. These members include Dave Barbe on the drums, Lori Bernish with the background vocals, Jeff Yeckel as the lead guitarist, Dan Rach on the keys, Stan Brusoski playing bass and Billy G with percussion. "You got me runnin' in circles

stop wasting my time, had it up to here with it

for the last time.

I've gone over and over on how to say goodbye,

got me in circles,

it's the last time." “The idea was to write a tune that captured the spirit and essence of music from the early 70s—all in one song. This track has Skynyrd and southern country rock smeared all of it; it pays homage to those bands that made music great in that era,” said co-producer/co-writer, Jeff Thurston. "The lyrics represent a prideful stand for our heritage, our flag and those that have sacrificed for our freedoms. Six Gun Sally is a band of Americans who sing about love, loss, freedom and hope; and recalling where they came from." The corresponding “Redneck White & Badass Blue” music video was shot in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Six Gun Sally’s home base) by Peter Guellard/Psycho Tribe and is positioned for a world premiere in early July.
