NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Indie singer/songwriter and country recording artist Emily Pyscher (pronounced Pie-shure) is set to release her sixth studio recording, “Memory Lane,”* in mid-August. Penned by Pyscher and produced by Emmy-winner Ken Royster (Luke Combs/Cowboy Troy/Tom O’Connor), the track will be available on August 19, 2022, via all major digital retail and streaming outlets (Amazon/iTunes/Pandora/ Spotify/Tidal). Presale/Pre-save event begins Friday, August 5, 2022.
Inspired by a Tennessee back road drive through a quiet rural country town, the ballad plays like a captivating movie scene that recalls favorite hometown pastimes fueling bittersweet emotions. With a knack for creating rhythmical cadences, the nineteen-year-old songstress (who draws from the textures of her favorite song crafters--Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert) weaves poetically abstract lyrics seamlessly while simplistic production paints crystal clear imagery of the lifelike playback.
“I wrote ‘Memory Lane’ just after I moved from Michigan to Nashville. Driving down a Tennesse back road reminded me of home. It just seemed to write itself,” said the Michigan-native, Emily Pyscher. "It’s truly personal and represents all that I am. A fond recollection of where I grew up and my leap of faith to move to Nashville to pursue my dream—the very fibers that have molded me. I really love the acoustics, and the production is reminiscent of the older country music that I grew up listening to.”
We’d run through the rows of hay
Stay out a little too late
Go fishin’ in the lake
Lately, I’ve been driving down memory lane
I might owe a few to the bank
A few things I shouldn’t have said
And I might be getting too close to the deep end
It's hard not to when I didn’t know
When you leave home
You run out of places to go
The new single is the second in Pyscher’s 2022 waterfall series of releases and is the title track to her EP, titled MEMORY LANE, scheduled to drop September 30, 2022.

Her music has been spotlighted on various notable playlists and podcasts (including Women of Country Music, Crazy Women Country, Country, The Next Generation, Boots and Whiskey, among others). She will release her debut EP, boasting all-original tunes, in September 2022.
