From Broadway To Music Row, Collaborative Music Program Set To Bring Nashville News Nationwide

“Honky Tonk TV,” the swanky, cutting-edge, country music segment entering its second season, will align with “Nashville At Nite.”

“Honky Tonk TV” executive producer, Chris James, announced today its plan to work in concert with the local television program, “Nashville At Nite.” to bring up-to-date, as-it-happens, music entertainment news and stories to music enthusiasts alike. In its newly established partnership, the two media outlets will continue their commitment to creating and delivering in-depth, up-to-the-minute, engaging shows while expanding their reach overall to a broader audience. The first formal alliance between “Honky Tonk TV” and “Nashville at Nite” will be introduced during their participation at one of country radio’s biggest annual events, the Country Radio Seminar 41 (CRS-41), in Music City, Tennessee next week.

“It’s a natural progression to work with ‘Nashville At Nite.’ Not only will we enhance our programming, we’ll deliver some of the best-of-the best in entertainment content that music lovers all over the country will enjoy. The combination of professional and experienced production teams will make us the one-stop TV destination for fans from all genres,” Chris James explains. “Watch out ‘E!’; we have the music front covered!”

A breath of fresh air to the country music community, “Honky Tonk TV” debuted March 2009 and commanded attention for its news magazine delivery and content. Award-winning artists such as Lady Antebellum, Trisha Yearwood, Darius Rucker, Rodney Atkins, Aaron Tippin and Billy Ray Cyrus have all made special guest appearances on the show.

Country music will continue to play a starring roll on “Honky Tonk TV” featuring interviews, news and tales while “Nashville At Nite” offers insight to what’s hip, hop and happenin’ in Music City in all genres, any time, day and night. From songwriters rooms to Broadway to The Row, “Nashville At Nite” affords the viewer exclusive, behind-the-scenes, insight to the vibe Music City is known for.

“The shows’ energetic, trendy content compliment one another,” adds “Nashville At Night” show host Carrie Smith. “The merging of ‘Nashville At Nite’ with ‘Honky Tonk TV’ gives audiences daily access to events going on in and around town, as well as providing up-to-date reports from venues, concerts, No.1 celebration parties and showcases.”

“Honky Tonk TV” is a dynamic broadcast, producing a country music and entertainment news segment five days a week. Season one aired nationally (as part of the “Daily Buzz” produced in Orlando, FL) across 164 markets (primarily on the CW Network). “Honky Tonk TV” will continue to strengthen its viewing audience with its new innovative half-hour format that will appeal to country music’s lively devotees both young and old.

“Nashville at Nite” is a weekly video series geared toward music fans of any genre seeking new music and talent. The series grants the audience exclusive access to Nashville hotspots, behind the media velvet rope. MUSIC VIDEO ON OPRAH.COM

GRAMMY Award winning trio Lady Antebellum unveiled the music video for their chart-climbing hit “American Honey” this morning on Oprah.com. “American Honey” is the first music video the iconic television host has ever debuted. The premiere is timed with the group’s first appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, where they performed a medley of their award winning, record setting, No. one’s “Need You Now” and “I Run To You.”

To stream the new video, click here: www.oprah.com/ladyantebellum.

The Country Music Association’s 2009 “Vocal Group Of The Year” recently celebrated the longest chart-topper of 2009 with the lead and title track “Need You Now” off their Jan. 26 release, which held the No. one position on the Billboard Top 200 chart for two consecutive weeks and an impressive first three weeks’ sales now soaring to 900,000 units. For more information, visit www.ladyantebellum.com.

Lady Antebellum’s new single “American Honey” is just what the song insists, ‘pure and sweet’. Hillary Scott’s voice is a perfect compliment to the steady flow of young hearted lyrics. This fresh trio illustrates summertime as a child when you’re careless and free. The taste of American honey or listening to this new single can send you back in time to when everyday life was much simpler.
