MACON <> CLEVELAND
Cleveland grew up playing rock 'n roll in the Ohio club circuit. He migrated to Nashville in 1994. He jumped on the country bandwagon and played the world-famous Stockyard & Bullpen Lounge (downtown Nashville) night after night after night as well as numerous other gigs in Music City. Cleveland's played the part of lead man, back-up singer, studio musician and demo singer. His greatest talent is his exceptional vocals (think Michael McDonald and Kim Carnes) as a recording artist. He is a spellbinding guitar player. Cleveland is currently working on a solo rock album of which he wrote the majority of the cuts.
Macon is a musician who harvested in the 60's. He recorded and played in the Southeast with a variety of musical groups canvassing the region playing shows in various venues making special appearances on a variety of television and radio shows. Macon moved to Nashville in 1995. Although the performing art is his love (his forte—a mean talk-to-me guitar), studio work is his passion. Macon has played on more than forty albums; he’s produced over twenty projects encompassing an array of musical styles; and he himself has released two solo instrumental albums.
Macon and Cleveland hooked up in the late 90's working on again and off again on various projects and with an assortment of players. They've been cohorts (of sort) ever since. Macon (a married man who lives by a schedule) and Cleveland (a confirmed bachelor with an easy-does-it kind of style) have an oil and vinegar relationship. Anyone who knows them concurrently agrees their amity resembles that of two old ladies. They have a similar history, a common thread, and they share the same love... BUT…with bullish opinions, one-way thinking, and their own independent stories, they make no bones to bicker ...and that's what makes them Macon<>Cleveland.
