Artists J. Michael Harter, Scott Harter and sister, Lezlie James have come full circle to form the group SEVEN. Under the direction of producer David Malloy, SEVEN is collectively re-entering the Country Music scene as a family with a truthful, new edge.

SEVEN has a unique modern sound that resounds a combination of a little Rock ‘n Roll and a whole lotta Country. SEVEN demonstrates the live energy of Garth Brooks and Chris LeDoux; echoes a traditional sound reminiscent of Patsy Cline; resonates the pop feel of The Beatles and Shania Twain; and incorporates a sonic groove resembling the alternative rock band Incubus. The groups’ "what you see, is what you get" attitude is enlivening and positions them as a trend-setting pioneer in a new era of country music.

THE STORY BEHIND THE NUMBER

What's in a name?

The story begins with brother Michael who is the eldest among the SEVEN siblings. The number SEVEN is significant to him for SEVEN personal reasons. In the Bible, the number SEVEN stands for completion and is also the number of the Lord. Michael was born on the SEVENth day of January (weighing in at SEVEN pounds) in the SEVENth decade of the 20th century.
The Harter Family is made up of SEVEN members. Michael’s lucky number has always been SEVEN.

Michael (J. Michael Harter formerly of Broken Bow Records) had always planned to title his first album SEVEN, but Garth Brooks beat him to it with his release of SEVENS.

Many years have passed since Michael’s solo run and much has changed.
J. Michael Harter, independent artist, has teamed up with sister, Lezlie and brother, Scott to form SEVEN.

Michael introduces SEVEN—his family, "Being a solo artist, I relied heavily upon my faith and my family. Forming a musical group with my family seemed uncommonly natural. Lezlie and Scott are both extremely talented—we compliment each other. We have an energy and chemistry that only family can articulate! Time and circumstance just presented itself. It’s time for SEVEN.”

SEVEN has trio harmony that we haven’t heard since Crosby, Stills & Nash.” (David Malloy has a list of successes producing projects for Eddie Rabbit, Dolly Parton, REBA, Kenny Rogers, Andy Griggs and Jeff Bates’ latest CD project.)

I HAVE NEVER BEEN ACCUSED OF BEING AN ATTRACTIVE MAN
