This week has been a very important week in Nashville for breast cancer and the cause deserves a great deal of attention. The fight against breast cancer continues and I hope you’ll be able to attend the Opry event or a similar event in your area.
Last night a special concert was held at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville. Headlined by singer-songwriter Mindy Smith, the Women Rock For The Cure’s third annual concert to benefit the Greater Nashville affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation was a success for awareness of the disease.
Tonight, October 2nd, the performances continue with a unique “Opry Goes Pink” event at the Historic Grand Ole Opry.
Hosted by Robin Roberts of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” a breast cancer survivor herself, “Opry Goes Pink” will feature girl power performances from Carrie Underwood, Jo Dee Messina, Terri Clark, Mindy Smith and Lorrie Morgan.
Tickets for the event are still available and can be purchased here: https://www.getgaylordtickets.com/
And for more information and to aid the breast cancer fight, PLEASE visit www.thebreastcancersite.com. There you will find videos featuring Mindy Smith. The first video encourages people to visit The Breast Cancer Site (www.thebreastcancersite.com) and select the “Click Here to Give -- it’s FREE” button.
Each click that the site receives will helps fund free mammograms for women in need. The second video invites viewers to sign up at The Breast Cancer Site Facebook Fan Page (http://www.facebook.com/thebreastcancersite). The One Million Fan March will trigger a $100,000 donation for breast cancer research once 1,000,000 people have become Fans.
