Jack Ingram unveils his latest single today, a hopeful track while even at your lowest, an already critically acclaimed “Seeing Stars.” The cut is from his newest album Big Dreams & High Hopes and features the lovely voice of Patty Griffin.
“The relationship with God or with Jesus or with anybody that you follow religiously — it seems like we’re all guilty of only keeping that relationship up when we’re really in need,” Ingram recently said of the song to CMT. “This song is admitting guilt to that. Like, ‘I know I don’t talk to You enough,’ or ‘I know I don’t reach out enough when times are good. And now that times are bad, here I am again but I need some help.’ You just go ahead and ask for it anyway.”
“Seeing Stars” was written by Ingram and GRAMMY winner Chris Thomkins, and has been praised as “enchanting” by Billboard and “gorgeous” by Newsday.
